Global Solutions for Peace

Global Solutions for Peace

Introductory Workshops

The Global Solutions for Peace series was created by one of Canada’s foremost peace activists, Dr. Mary-Wynne Ashfordglobally recognized and renowned for her ability to translate complex concepts through stories and life experiences. It is now being further adapted by the Greater Victoria Peace School as eight interactive workshops suitable for High School students and older. Content is guided by the open-access book Global Governance and the Emergence of Global Institutions for the 21st Century. Hyperlinks for the book and individual chapters are provided.

The series is based on a vision of a more democratic future based on justice, equality of opportunity, the rule of law, peace and prosperity. It asks how we can best build this future. What are the worldviews, social systems and international governance structures needed for the safety and well-being of humanity?

Registration is full for the Introductory Workshops to the series, but a wait list is being taken. Those interested are asked to leave their name and email address at the contact page of this website. We will contact you with the date, location and time and keep you informed of further offerings.
